Semarang – The Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), is making significant strides toward achieving recognition as a Campus of Integrity, embodying anti-corruption and anti-gratification principles.
This initiative aims to foster a transparent, ethical academic environment while enhancing public trust in higher education institutions.
The Campus of Integrity program was officially launched at the faculty level on August 30, 2023. Since then, a series of activities—including reviews, workshops, awareness campaigns, and benchmarking visits to institutions already designated as Corruption-Free Zones (WBK) and Clean Bureaucratic Service Zones (WBBM)—have been conducted.
On July 16, 2024, the Integrity Zone Team carried out program monitoring and evaluation, alongside socialization efforts regarding academic SOPs, gratification control, conflict of interest management, whistleblowing mechanisms, and public complaint handling. The event was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, and attended by department heads, section leaders, program coordinators, and student representatives from various levels.
Comprehensive training and awareness campaigns for staff and students have been implemented, alongside regular internal audits and enhancements to management information systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
“We are committed to positioning the Department of Nursing as an institution of high integrity. By adhering to anti-corruption and anti-gratification principles, we aim to create a professional and ethical learning environment,” stated Dr. Anggorowati, Head of the Department of Nursing Science. The success of this initiative depends on the collective support of all academic stakeholders.
The department is also actively collaborating with internal and external parties for objective guidance and evaluation, ensuring all efforts align with the highest integrity standards. Attaining the status of an Anti-Corruption and Anti-Gratification Campus is expected to position Undip as a model institution, inspiring other educational entities to uphold values of integrity and ethics.
